Privacy

The Curtain is a publication website. This page explains the information processed when you visit, including information used to display advertising and manage your privacy choices.

What we collect

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested — for security and abuse prevention, typically for a short retention period.
  • Emails you send us. If you contact us, we keep your message and address only as long as needed to reply.

Advertising, cookies and consent

The Google AdSense publisher tag is installed while the site is reviewed. Its presence does not mean that ads are currently being served; the account is not yet approved. Google may receive technical information when its script loads. If ad serving is enabled, Google may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure and protect advertising, subject to your choices and applicable law. Before personalized advertising is enabled for visitors in the UK, EEA or Switzerland, we will configure a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) that supports the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF). Sponsored links, where shown, are separate; following one takes you to a third-party site governed by its own privacy policy.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand site visits and page performance. Google may process usage, device, browser, and approximate location information and may use cookies or similar technologies for measurement. You can limit cookies through your browser settings. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data we hold about you. Write to privacy@thecurtain.online and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes and, for material changes, we will note it on the site.
